My stay at the Riviera Hotel & Casino was overall pleasant, with a few notable drawbacks. The room I had was clean and spacious, though the dining options left much to be desired. While the staff was mostly friendly and helpful, the energy surcharge felt unfair given the room rates.
Rooms
8.0
The standard room was clean and quite spacious, accommodating a king-size bed, TV, and sufficient storage.
Service
6.0
Most staff were friendly and helpful, although I had a negative experience at Kady's Steak House where the service was poor.
Location
8.0
The hotel is located conveniently near popular spots, making it easy to explore the Strip and access transportation.
Dining
5.0
The buffet had a mix of good and not-so-good options, and it was tough to find vegan-friendly meals, especially at Kady's.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities like the gym and nearby pool area were well-kept but limited in the winter months.

My stay at the Riviera Hotel marked a nice celebration for my brother-in-law's 21st birthday, though it wasn't without its drawbacks. The rooms were decent for the price, especially with no resort fees, but somewhat removed from the main action of the Strip. While the casino offered some fun, we barely spent time there, focusing more on exploring the city. Overall, it's a good budget option if you don't mind the distance from the main attractions. 🎉🤑
Rooms
6.0
The room was acceptable for the price, but compared to other hotels I've stayed at, it felt a bit outdated. There's a king size bed, which was comfortable, but the room could use some freshening up.
Service
5.0
The service overall was mixed. While the check-in was quick, I encountered challenges with communication regarding my reservation and the front desk could have been more accommodating.
Location
6.0
Although it's a bit far from the bustling action of the Strip, the hotel is conveniently close to the Convention Center, which is perfect if you're attending events there.
Dining
5.0
I didn't dine in any of the restaurants during my stay, but I noticed a Poolside Cafe offering burgers which could be convenient in warmer weather.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel's facilities seemed to be quite basic. While we had access to a few amenities, they did feel somewhat limited and not particularly modern.

My stay at the Riviera Hotel & Casino was extremely frustrating. From the rude check-in experience to the dirty room, it certainly didn’t meet my expectations for a hotel stay. While I found the bathroom to be renovated, the overall condition of the room and the poor service left much to be desired.
Rooms
5.0
I was disappointed to find that my non-smoking room with a King bed was unavailable, leading to a room with two full-size beds instead. The bathroom was recently renovated, but the overall cleanliness was unacceptable, with visible hair on the toilet and in the shower.
Service
5.0
The service was unhelpful and dismissive. The front desk staff showed little concern for my issues and even suggested that my room preference was a mere suggestion. I felt unappreciated and ignored throughout my stay.
Location
7.0
The hotel is located in the heart of Las Vegas, making it easy to access attractions and restaurants nearby. However, the location can’t make up for the poor quality of service I experienced.
Dining
5.0
I had a decent experience with room service, but I didn't try any on-site dining options extensively. There was a café available with healthy dishes, but I didn’t find it particularly noteworthy during my stay.
Facilities
5.0
While the hotel advertises renovated rooms, I didn't see much evidence of this. The hotel’s overall condition felt outdated, and the facilities didn’t live up to the claims of recent renovations.

Overall, my stay at the Riviera was decent for a budget option, with some highlights in room comfort and amenities but significant misses in dining and location convenience. The experience could have been improved with better service and food quality.
Rooms
6.0
I stayed in the Monaco tower on the 62nd floor, and while the room was updated with new furniture, the pillows were not very comfortable. Despite a hot water issue the first night, the bed was great and the room was kept very clean.
Service
5.0
Check-in was a bit of a hassle with a lengthy queue, although I could bypass it at a self-service counter. The service overall did not impress me; it felt a little disconnected during my stay.
Location
5.0
The location was farther from the main attractions than I expected, taking about 20-30 minutes to walk to the heart of the action. While there were some restaurants nearby, it wasn’t ideal for quick access to the strip.
Dining
5.0
I found the food options limited. Although I enjoyed the Mexican restaurant and the buffet, I was disappointed with the brunch—particularly the overcooked fried chicken. The desserts seemed stale as well.
Facilities
6.0
The casino was comparable to smaller ones on the strip and appeared well-maintained. I didn't use the pool but noticed other guests enjoying it.

I had a pleasant three-night stay at the Riviera Hotel & Casino. The check-in process was efficient, and my room in the Monte Carlo Tower was nicely renovated, though the noise from the air conditioner was bothersome. While some common areas felt a bit worn, the value and amenities, like complimentary Wi-Fi and breakfast, made it a good choice for budget-minded travelers.
Rooms
7.0
My room was small but renovated, featuring a flat screen TV and a decently modern bathroom. It did show some signs of wear, like water damage on the ceiling.
Service
8.0
The staff were friendly and helpful. I had no issues with check-in, and the maid service was prompt and thorough.
Location
6.0
The hotel is a bit of a walk from the main part of the strip, which I found inconvenient. It's also near restaurants but feels a bit isolated from the action.
Dining
7.0
I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which was included, but I found the poolside dining offerings to be quite typical and not really good.
Facilities
6.0
The casino is large and nice to explore, and the pool area has a fun atmosphere, but the common areas need better upkeep.
